we tried hiking. it was fun, but we realized somewhere between our 25-30 stream crossing on some of the most difficult terrain i have ever seen, that we could slip and fall of rocks in Oregon just as well, and decided that while in Hawaii, we should stick to the beach. Note: if 'the guide to hiking ohau' suggests a trail is 'moderate,' think difficult.
