New Orleans
We went to New Orleans last week. Seth received an amazing scholarship to attend and agronomy conference. It is a huge event and this was the centennial, so there were a lot of special perks...including private luncheons with the President of Iceland, President of Bangladesh, Jeffery Sacks and Pedro Sanchez and oh, yeah, a yummy reception with Norman Borlaug. The conference coordinator was kind enough to arrange it so I could come along. Our hotel was right in the French Quarter: Canal and Bourbon St. The conference was amazing. All in all it was just such a great get away and an incredible learning opportunity.

Seth, we're so proud of you! Looks like you guys had fun, although I'm very, very, worried about the beads that are around your neck. Please tell me that it wasn't a tradition New Orleans parade and therefore that there was no ...well you know.
Wow, what an awesome conference/vacation!! Glad baby Sherry wasn't born there though!
