The other evening our friends Brindy and Zach came over and brought us dinner. We talked about babies and birth and life in general. Eventually the conversation became one of sewing projects and as Seth and Brindy talked surgers and fabric...I knew that although my wifehood has only just begun, Seth would be such a better candidate than I.

Eeheem.."Why Seth Should Be the Wife" by Caroline Sherry
1. Seth always wears an apron when he cooks.
2. Seth made his apron.
3. Seth uses every pot and pan we own when he cooks. I usually don't even realize we have more than one and tend to "cook" meals that don't require pots or pans, ic. the sandwich.
4. We go to JoAnn's fabrics for Seth's sewing projects and he knows where they stock the thimbles.
5. We go to the craft store to buy expensive paint pens for Seth's projects...I use brown paper sacks for mine.
6. When Seth gets home from work at 1AM, in the morning I find an open cook book on the table.
7. Seth likes to make shopping lists according to what a recipe calls for - I just pick out stuff I like and hope it works for something..ie a sandwich or stir-fry.
8. Seth has banned me from making my signature meal - stir-fry. Apparently, he favors "variety"
9. Seth wears shoes that click when he walks. (See photo)
10. Seth has mastered the art of timing. He always has every element of the meal hot and ready at precisely the same moment. He also makes comments about how timing is the signature of a "seasoned" chef.
11. Seth is the son of the great Ann Sherry. I don't think I have ever met a more thorough and thoughtful wife!
12. Lastly, Seth fits nicely on the back of a motorcycle.
...and yes, I am very aware of how incredibly lucky I am to have such great a wife!

You're hilarious Carrie Sherry. And Seth, you are pretty femme.
Oh my, I needed a good laugh tonight! (We just got home from a trip to the ER with Coop--more on that later) So thanks for the laugh!!! We must have come from the same clone to know that a "seasoned chef" serves all the dishes meals hot at the same moment. Maybe in the next life Seth will be the wife : )
Mrs. Seth Sherry. That was so funny Caroline. Seth does make a good wife! I learned some funny things about our family from reading it- things Ryan brings up but that I didn't realize come from our mother. ie: how timing is everything, hot meals, etc...
I'm proud of my sis-brother for his cooking skills. Although he has much to learn, he is certainly on the right path!
That is a great picture - I can't believe I haven't seen that one. Love this post Caroline. Our only hope in the cooking department is to make enough money so that we can hire a cook.
That is great!! I love it!
Well, what can you say? You might as well just give in and let him do it!! What a burden! ;)
