The kids and I leave today...needless to say, my stomach is in knots. Maybe moving to Africa is the only way I can lose my baby weight. Worked last time, but I guess the Malaria may have made the difference.
This morning when I dropped my mom off at work and began the 10 minute drive, into the sun, home Thomas had some things to say (as usual). This little conversation born of a dull silence was the gem of the drive:
Thomas, "Mom, when we get to Africa I will be nice."
Me, "Why don't you just be nice now?"
Thomas, "mmm...because, I am only nice in Africas..."
He wasn't doing anything naughty at the time, however the conversation had the effect of dashing all my hopes 6 hours of an unexpectedly angelic Thomas in Heathrow...

Good luck Caroline!!! I can't wait to hear about your new home :-)!
I wanted to call you today but was afraid you'd be swamped and over-goodbye'd. We love you guys!
We'll await and safe arrival and reunion!
Can't wait for the updates from Africa. I hope that the flight went well. 1 layover really is amazing.
You are there by now...Yah! I hope it went ok and that you are safe and all together.
Been thinking about you and hoping things are going well.
Looking forward to hearing more details and 'seeing' you new home.
Take care...and we really might just come visit...if the offer is still open in a couple years!
