The Cricket
That first day, we went to a “Cricket” I have never seen a game of Cricket so that was interesting. I also met Seth’s manager and the owner of the company and some wives. All very nice and interesting people whom I will blog more about when I have less to catch up on. Thomas got beat up at the Cricket. I should preface this by saying that almost all the attendees at the Cricket were white Africans. All the children were gathered in a play area – they were obviously a close nit bunch. When Thomas hopped on the trampoline with them they all scattered. Needless to say, it didn’t bode well. I am not sure how the altercation began, but I might suppose it started with Thomas pointing a giant seedpod from one of the trees at someone and indicating that he had the “only” Excalibur. It might just as easily have been a “pick on the new kid” stint. Regardless, Thomas came running back to me saying the kids had pushed him down and hit his back. So, heart breaking!

Poor Tommy! Those kids better watch out because we all know that King Arthur knows how to use his swords.
