It arrived in two shipments – the first October 30th, the second November 10th. Here is a picture of small amount of the packing materials Thomas and Daliso (a little neighbor boy) are hiding in. When the bulk of the shipment arrived it was pure chaos. One would think that with a “professional” moving company unloading and supposedly unpacking your things it should be a cinch, then with the assistance of a maid and a gardener…no problem. Not so! Seth was out of town; the movers didn’t arrive until 2pm, at which time they proceeded to open the “seal”, a huge steel bolt with a hammer and a crowbar. They started unloading an hour later. It was chaos! Gloria checked all the items off the inventory. Cali wanted to be held the whole time by me alone. Wisdom helped me move our washing machine and helped the movers. Thomas painted himself with axel grease from the moving truck and I had to physically walk virtually every item into the house because five of the six movers didn’t know enough English to understand “first door on the right”. I had to take the kids back to the other house because they didn’t unpack anything. I had them in bed by 8 pm, called Seth and cried and then drowned my sorrows in a ready bake pizza and a sprite that I ate sitting on my mattress on the floor.
On a happy note, we are now mostly moved in and are sleeping in our own beds! Seth was here for the arrival of the second shipment…which made a huge difference.

Glad you finally got everything there with you!
Seriously amazing. It makes me feel better that you ate a frozen pizza and sprite, makes you sound more human to me.
I'm still amazed it showed up. That's great!
I love love love your photos. You are a very strong woman and an awesome mommy and wife. I miss you and will be praying for you and your family. Hopefully we see each other at Christmas!
