hello from accra

So, I will start with the plane ride…I cried at on point on our Philadelphia to Frankfurt leg of the journey as a very large German sighed in disgust at our struggling little one trying to fall a sleep in the basinet seat. From Frankfurt to Nigeria I was shocked and amused by the Israeli man and his 3 and 10 year old boys. Before we even took off his 3 year old would not sit in the chair / the stewardess asked him to seat his son and he replied, I know he needs to but he won’t he wants to be with his mother…so, while the stewardess parented this child his father and mother proceeded to sleep for all nine hours of the flight while their boys literally ran around the plane. One of the craziest things I have ever seen on a plane. The running around especially didn’t settle well because I had apparently signed up for a seafood meal which consisted of salmon and rice, salmon and potato salad… and for lunch a raw salmon on rye with cucumbers and no lie sand! They accompanied it with a bottle of sea water.

So the moral is stick to the vegetarian meals! I mean how much salmon can one woman eat.
Okay T is strapped to my back crying so more later ..oh yeah, we are happy and safe here in accra.

Salmon on the plane? WEIRD. I'm glad you are there safely- you are impressing me with all your blogging all ready. Good work caroline. Everything will get easier and more comfortable soon.

Traveling with kids...I shudder to think of it. I'm trying not to think of our Israel flight this Christmas...and that will only be with #3, not the other two! Good luck!
