Living here

Living in east legon our housing situation is less than ideal here. We live with a family who means well but there is no shower or running water in the kitchen. The door to the bathroom exists but cannot close due to the obviously unexpected presence of the toilet bowl. Ahh ghanian architecture while artistic some times lacks utility. While in my single days I braved much worse..insert shout out to my mexico girls….i am not super keen to this with my 8 month old rug rat. To make matters worse the rest of the students are living in a sweet gorgeous pad with a security guard and there is even an extra room. Did I mention we are paying more than they are? Also they are walking distance to many things including the school. We are on a busy street about 5 minutes in a taxi away. The problem is AHA told us that we cannot live there because we are a family. We are trying to get a hold of them but so far have not received any calls back. So, that is the current frustration…we have knots in our stomachs about the whole thing but hope to have it resolved soon. So don’t worry about us but definitely some prayers are way would be rad.
