So, after a month in Ghana i had my first shower! We have moved to a new place. such a blessing for many reasons, cheaper, quieter, closer, more private and they have grass for T to play on. But, one of the more exciting things is they have a shower - we have been doing bucket baths up until now and actually we still to them on occasion. The shower is of course cold - but it is so warm here that the cold water is a great way to cool off. The next morning we woke up and made pancakes - probably my favorite food. It feels like a fresh start here in Ghana. Huge blessing! Here are some pictures of our new place - oh, the downer is that we are all in the same room - so we have rigged a little curtain for T and try and time naps so that we are not in the room if possible.
it is strange - i thought i was pretty good about doing without - but this has been quite a challenge. Washing our clothes by hand in the bathroom wich is only separated from our bedroom by a half-wall, while thomas naps, trying to sleep through the crys of a teething babe in the same room, cooking dinner and keeping thomas from the rat poison, propane tank, electical outlets all at the same time, and i am not even going to start on mosquito repellent and sunscreen... i am learning so much!
pictures are of the entry way, the lawn and the big house - we are in the guest house to the left. i will post a pic or our room eventually.

Wow. You are a better woman than me. I don't know if I could do all of that with a baby. I'm glad you have moved- it looks beautiful.
Sure looks like an upgrade! Congrats.
Isn't it funny how we take nice grass for granted...until you have a crawling toddler and a yard of dirt. How much longer do you have in Ghana?
I'm SO excited for you! Especially for the grass :-)!
